The Swan

Being a nature lover, I try to spend as much time in nature as possible. Swans are such graceful birds when swimming along calmly. As they are such big birds they run along the top of the water, pedalling with their feet and flapping their wings, in order to give themselves a running start, so to speak, when taking flight. I was lucky enough to photograph this elegant bird doing just that, during a stroll around Heath Lake which is close to my home. Of course, I had to try and capture this joyful moment in paint!
